Day1 - Mt Kinabalu
Climb ↑
0730hrs Depart from the
lobby. Drive along the ridges of the Crocker Range to the
Kinabalu Park, the first World Heritage Site of Malaysia.
Mount Kinabalu, at an elevation of 4092m, is the highest
mountain in southeast Asia, and dominates the surrounding
countryside.
Upon arrival at Park
Headquarters, register for the climb and meet your
mountain guide. Drive 4.5km to Timpohon Gate where the
trek begins. Trek to Laban Rata Resthouse (or similar
mountain accommodation), checkin and overnight. (packed
lunch, dinner)
Day2 - Mt Kinabalu
Climb ↓
0230hrs Pre-dawn departure
for the attempt to the summit of Low’s Peak.
Return to the Resthouse for
breakfast, then descend to Timpohon Gate, and transfer to
Park Headquarters.
Rest and lunch before
returning to Kota Kinabalu. (breakfast, lunch)
