Emphasis on the finer points of GI endoscopy practice. Demonstration on cases with live transmission by CCTV with short lectures/video-demonstrations with focus on practical tips and clinical practice points. The highlights this yearinclude demonstrations (by video or live) of new innovative techniques, including scope guide for colonoscopy, needle biopsies using EUS, capsule endoscopy, mother and baby ERCP procedures and endoscopic mucosal resection using a free hand technique.

GIAs are invited to participate in all sessions. A specially designed GIA symposium will be held on Friday, 5 March entitled "Emphasizing the basics for GIAs" and will be coordinated by Sister Mary Bong.
